Before you save: nothing leaves your browser

To decide whether to offer a save, the extension reads the current page's title, description, Open Graph tags and structured data inside your browser. This is not sent anywhere, not to Tudu and not to anyone else. There is no browsing-history collection and no impression or view analytics. The only network effect of a prompt is your browser loading the page's own preview image for the thumbnail.

When you choose Save

• Save this page / prompt: the page address is sent to your Tudu account.
• Save selection: the text you highlighted and the page address.
• Capture visible page: the screenshot you previewed and approved, uploaded to your private Tudu storage, plus the page address.

Each save also carries a random save id and the label chrome_extension so Tudu can show it in your library and tell it apart from saves made in the app. Titles, descriptions and thumbnails shown in the extension are kept only on your computer, for at most 24 hours, for display.

Your account

Sign-in uses your Tudu account (a 6-digit email code, or email and password). Credentials are sent only to Tudu's authentication service and are not stored by the extension. Your session token is kept in Chrome's extension storage, restricted so that web pages cannot read it. Signing out deletes the session, pending saves, cached recent saves and any pending screenshot from your computer.

What the extension reads from Tudu

Your own recent saves, your own lists, and the processing status of your own saves. Nothing about other people.

What we don't do

• No sale or sharing of data with third parties. No advertising identifiers.
• No remote analytics or crash reporting in the extension.
• No access to your browsing history, cookies, passwords or other tabs.

Data retention and deletion

Saved content lives in your Tudu account under the app's retention rules and can be deleted from the app. Local extension data is deleted when you sign out or uninstall the extension. To delete your Tudu account entirely, use the app's account deletion.
